The United Kingdom has placed an order for 1,000,000 of the new EMAGs. You can tell the difference between the new ones and the old by the second window, which makes it similar to the windowed PMAG.

A million magazines is a pretty large order, it makes me wonder why the US taxpayers spent so much money through Picatinny playing games with new magazines and followers when a COTS (Commercial Of The Shelf) solution was available the entire time. Its nice to see that politics aren't hurting our friends across the pond the same way they are over here.

For people with an extra keen eye, you might notice I posted pictures of this new EMAG last week with the 300 AAC article... [:D]

Unfortunately those who buy the equipment that is needed don't actually use the equipment itself. I'm glad to see that a government made such a large order. Maybe their US counterparts will follow suit.

As long as a year ago, at the company level every Infantry unit was shoveling PMags over, and the slightly aware like myself from POG units already brought personally owned ones.

I wonder if MagPul will make any of these in the matching green for the SA80/L85 furniture (though it's just the pistol grip now that they're using DD L85 rails)...
