What is the best carbon removal tool or the best method to remove carbon deposits from the bolt and carrier?

When I was in the Army, as soon as I was out of Basic Training and AIT, I bought myself a set of dental tools. I think that a set of 4 cost me less than $5. They have served me well for over a decade. Though I have not tried them myself, the CRT-15 (Carbon Removal Tool - 15) and the KZ M4CRST Carbon Removal Super Tool have been used by my peers with success.

I use a combination of dental tools and the C.A.T. M4 tool. ( http://www.catm4.com/ )

I'm still trying to figure out why anyone uses tools of any kind to carbon. Anything that doesn't come off with a soaking and maybe a toothbrush is a total non-issue. I'm fond of slip2000 carboncutter to soak.

I use an old .30-06 case. The case mouth diameter is perfectly sized to match up with the curved area of the bolt aft of the gas rings, and the length of the case is long enough to afford a good grip. I wrapped black electrical tape around it to give a better grip when my hands are slippery with CLP, and to make sure I don't get that case mixed into any cases I'm going to reload for my M1.
