I am planning to use a Larue LT-707 mount with the new 6PX light. I will be using it on a Magpul carbine-length handguard, with a regular small picatinny rail (not the cantilever extended-reach rail) as far forward as possible. I also intend to mount the flashlight as far forward in the Larue mount as possible, obviously in attempt to reduce barrel shadow. Surefire's website seems to indicate that the beam of these lights is wider than before, so I am wondering if anyone has any personal experience with these lights and could perhaps give me an idea of how much barrel shadow to expect? It isn't a terribly big deal, if it is there it is there, and I will live with it.
