AAC had their two newest cans available for fondling at SHOT show.

The MINI 4 is a 5.56 sound suppressor that only adds 2.8 inches to the host weapon (overall length is 5.25"). It tested to reduce M193 ammo by 22 dB, but is not recommended for use on barrels less than 14.5 inches.

The 762 SND 6 is designed for the 7.62 and 300 AAC Blackout round and is 1.25 inches shorter than the 762 SD model for a total added length of 6.1 inches (overall length is 7.66 inches). It tested to reduce 7.62 by 25 dB and the 300 Blackout by 39 dB.

Both use the 51 tooth ratchet mounts

Just to expand- the MINI4 features all-Inconel internals including the end cap. It is warranted down to full-auto on a 10" barrel. 14.5" is the shortest barrel on which it'll meter as hearing safe.

The reduction of the 762-SDN-6 with 7.62 NATO is on a KAC EMC battlerifle. Should be around 32 on longer-barreled hosts. It also makes a good multi-cal can, metering only 3-4dB louder than an M4-2000 on a 5.56 gun.

I think when I met with Kevin and Robert, we focused on the 300 AAC, which made sense being as I was there writing for Army Times/ Military Times. I also think they thought I had already been filled in on the other items before SHOT rolled around. When I asked about new cans, I was very nicely told by one person that I already knew about all the new products AAC had out. Not a big deal, there are a lot of times that I hear about things early in development, and other times that I find out last and everyone thought I already knew about it. This is just one of those times. Its all good.
