Someone like Enterprise Arms or DSA should offer semi-auto versions of these:

A side-folding FAL that takes PMAG's? I'd want one as long as it wasn't a POS and had a decent barrel.

Will probably never happen, but it would be cool.

I forgot all about those, probably because I don't know anyone who has one so I never see them.

I think I'd still rather have a carbine size FAL, I've always liked the FAL but a full size .308 with a 21" barrel is a little big for me.

Just out of curiosity has anyone ever done a long-stroke piston conversion on an AR-15?

The PWS is a long stroke and seems to work pretty well. I know a guy from the range I go to that has the XCR and it is very nice. He had some growing pains with it, but it runs great last I spoke with him.

I have looked at the XCR, pretty neat system. I love the interchangeable barrels on my MRP. I think the M6A3 from LWRCi has a long stroke system but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. My only experience with LWRCi is my M6A2.

The LWRC and all of the LWRC Rifles use the Short Stroke Gas Piston System. The M6A3 has an adjustable gas block.

A 5.56 version of the FAL would be cool but I like the pure nockdown power of the 7.62

The XCR is a good idea from a lunatic gone bad. Customers as beta testers, online histrionics, bad customer service, questionable assembly methods and design choices, etc. It's the gun I want to like but can't find a reason to.

and then there's that whole piston thing... :D

but at least the piston is native to it's design, not some abortion, chernobyl, third-head added to the AR.
