Hey guys

I'm about to install a low profile gasblock and I need to know if I need to keep a space between the gasblock and the shoulder on the barrel where a handguard cap would usually go.

Trying to put everything together right now but I'm stuck on this.

Hope one of you guys can help me with this.

Put the same amount as the handguard cap.

Unfortunately, I deleted the pic, and can't seem to find it on my backup hard drive.

Aren't there some gas blocks that don't allow for the cap thickness?

Who made your gas block?

I figured it out. I actually feel a little stupid now. I took the set screw out, flipped the gas block upside down and the holes align when the gas block is all the way up on the barrel.
Like AR-10 said, this particular gas block does not allow for cap thickness.

Btw, it's a Spikes Tactical micro gas block.

Thanks guys.

In my completely unscientific survey of gas blocks, it appears that most of the holes in the block are significantly larger in diameter than the port drilled into the barrel (as is the i.d. of the tube.) That 0.0278" shift either way seems to be well within the diameter of the block's hole.
