I have the battle comp (version 2.0 and love it) on my DDM4 V5 and was wondering, would a suppressor work with it? Or would I need to remove the battle comp and go with a different set up? Which models do people recommend? This is just a "someday" purchase, but it would nice to know.

Looks like you made a good choice if you want to use a suppressor in the future. The 2.0 was designed for use with most A2 style suppressors, and the Gemtech Halo (http://www.gem-tech.com/store/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=86&idcategory=9) keeps coming up as a common mate for the BattleComp 2.0.

Here's a pretty decent thread (http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=391183) with pictures for mating the 2.0 w/ a Gemtech Halo.

The BattleComp crew is already evaluating which suppressors they can make muzzle device for. At the moment, the HALO with the 2.0 would be the choice, but they will have some stuff down the road, so your 'someday' purchase will have to be reconsidered anyhow, or if not, there's nothing at all wrong with the 2.0/HALO setup.

I'm still looking and still want to order something (spent my fun money on ammo, some HSGI gear, a holster, and some wine). I still like the Halo, but was wondering if I could use it for my Ruger 10/22 with a .920 threaded Whistle Pig Barrel? I know it will be bigger and heavier than a dedicated .22lr suppressor, but the option to use on either gun is a plus for me. Also wondering about the 22 fouling it up and the best way to clean it.

The guys at BC were talking about an AAC version, which is what I'm most interested in.

A big plus one on this.

Let me ask them, since they're a few blocks away.

That would be amazing... I have been on AAC for the longest time to produce a non standard brake.

According to the boss, it's the AAC Omni

Does AAC even produce the OMNI anymore. I was thinking more along the lines of the 762SDN-6 / M4-2k

Agreed, even BC licensing out the front half of theirs to AAC or SureFire would be simply phenomenal... Though the pair of Battlecomp1.0/SPR-M4 mutt setups I've seen are both fantastic looking.

I only made two of them, I currently have 1, another gentlemen has the other.

Here is the design for a single piece unit... They really should work something out. But not with the OMNI, I havent even seen but a handful of pictures of those. The SDN-6 is the new hotness, jump onboard.

The above drawing is what I was thinking too...just make the attachment point behind the BC all together. Is the threaded adapter just silver soldered to the barrel? Or is it more complicated than what it appears to me?

On second look, it appears to be an one component that extends the length of the barrel with the battle comp just attached to it. I am interested in learning more about something like this.

Anything new on BC making a version that would accept an AAC suppressor?
