Haven't bought it yet, but I'm considering the Mega Ma-Ten mono upper for my .308 build.

The only thing that concerns me is you are forced to use set screws to hold the gas block in place.

I have read that the best way to do this is to dimple the barrel and use Rocksett on the screws.

I'm sure some of y'all have done this before, so I'd like to hear how you've done it and how well it has worked for you.

There's some information about the process in my Mega MTS-400 review here: http://www.weaponevolution.com/forum/showthread.php?2716-Mega-Arms-MTS-400-Review

I use Loctite on the set screws. While Rocksett would hold the screw in place well, I can think of a few reasons why I would not choose this option. Staking the set screws is another option I've considered, but never tried.

I have never experienced a problem with any of my uppers that have gas blocks secured this way. As long as they live under the rail, and not in front of it, they are fairly safe from harm.
