I was at the gun club yesterday sighting in a new scope. I took it real easy and got the rifle sighted in. I got bored after shooting consistent groups and loaded up 10 rounds. I more or less emptied them out down range then did a repeat a couple of times. I used the same magazine the entire time to allow for barrel cooling. So.... I fired 30 bullets in 10 round increments. Then i took a couple minutes of break time and loaded 20 bullets into the magazine and shot them in relatively fast semi auto mode. About that time this guy comes over to me and says if i don't stop i could warp my barrel.....
I am having a really hard time believing this!
Is there some general rule of thumb about when it is time to back off? is 50 rounds in 5 -8 minutes to much?
Thanks.
