The previous version of the Midwest Industries MI-17 rail was a nice, simple, drop in rail that gave users good performance at a reasonable price. This newest version blows the old one out of the water. With its multiple QD sling mounting points, lighter weight, slimmer profile, and rail extension that bridges to reach over the delta ring, this rail is quite possibly the best drop in non-FF rail on the market. Its certainly the one that I recommend to fellow LEO and friends. While this is obviously not a free floating rail, lockup is nice and tight in the several different weapons I've installed this on.
