The integration of the polymer body with the magazine feed lips is one design feature which sets the L5AWM magazine apart from other composite magazines.

The L5AWM’s one piece wrap-around hardened steel feed lip assembly is permanently attached to its impact resistant polymer body. Protected from corrosion with the application of a black PTFE coating, the hardened steel feed lips are designed to resist bending, breaking or deformation due to extreme handling or long term storage in a loaded condition.

The L5 Advanced Warfighter Magazine eliminates the time consuming need for end user stippling or the application of grip tapes or aftermarket grip enhancement modifications. Molded into the exterior surface of the L5AWM’s polymer body, is a non-slip texture designed to improve gripping during magazine changes, magazine removal from pouches, or removal from load bearing vests or LBEs.

The translucent versions of the L5AWM feature molded in “round count” indicators at the 20 and 30 round levels.

To maximize feeding, Lancer Systems designed in a constant curve internal geometry to the L5 Advanced Warfighter Magazine body. This attention to magazine curvature in conjunction with a non-tilting follower, has been designed to ensure trouble-free feeding.

For those shooters concerned with the maneuverability issues associated with larger 30 round magazines, Lancer also manufactures the L5AWM in a 20 round version. With many of the same design features found present in the 30 round version of the L5AWM, the 20 round version is currently available in Black, Olive, FDE and Foliage Green opaque colors. Translucent 20 round L5AWM magazines are currently available in Smoke, with Brown and Black translucent magazines to follow soon as well.
