I recently decided to upgrade my QD sling mount on my Daniel Defense M4 Rail. The one I was using was functional, but lacked the anti-rotational feature and protruded a bit more than I preferred. When reviewing my options, I came across the Gear Sector Rail Mount QD. Gear Sector established itself several years ago as a sling manufacturer and has branched out with a line of rail mounts.

The mount itself runs about $36 and $43 if you want the push-button QD swivel included, which is what I opted to buy.

The package includes an allen wrench as well as Vibra-Tite VC3 threadlocker, so there's no excuse for an improper installation.

Gear Sector machines the mount out of 6061-T6 aluminum and finished as per US Military Specification ( MIL-A-8625F ) Type III, Class II Hard Coat. All Gear Sector parts are manufactured in the USA. The Gear Sector logo is subdued, which is a nice change of pace. Many manufacturers are more inclined to tun you into a walking billboard.

Machine work is very clean and the finish evenly applied.

The installed mount has remained securely attached to the rail and blends nicely with the rail cover. The QD solidly locks into place and releases when the button is depressed.

I really haven't found any cons related to this mount. They are a good addition to the Gear Sector line.
