I happened to see these in the local REI store and thought they might make for decent pulls on my PMAG dust covers. So far (3 months) they've done a good job. As you can see in the last photo, they don't always stay cinched tightly to the cover, but the slack pulls tight easily and I haven't noticed it being a problem. If it were to become an issue, I could always modify them to stay tight.
