Tareinco sent me one of their VTP (Variable Transition Point) slings to test & evaluate. Once I get some time with it, I'll add my full review to this thread...

From the Tareinco website:

Product Description
MSRP $75.00 ( comes complete with two Troy Industries stainless steel QD push button swivels)

*Please specify in the comment section of our checkout system if you're a right hand or left hand shooter, this has to do with how the sling operates when using two point method.

The VTP Sling (Variable Transition Point) is our most uniquely featured weapon sling as it is essentially a ''2-1 point'' sling. The ability for an operator to transition from a single point configuration to a two-point and vice versa, gives the operator a piece of kit that is able to adapt to his/her mission specific needs. Our approach on the concept of the 2-1 point sling has been well received by shooting professionals and recreational shooters...

I really got excited when I came across the Tareinco VTP (Variable Transition Point) sling, because it embodied what I had developed in my mind as the best concept for a LE duty sling. Mark Basa at Tareinco was nice enough to send me one to T&E, and I’ve found it to be exactly what I was hoping for.

The VTP is made in the USA using all US made components. The one inch webbing is Mil-W-5625 Tubular Nylon. The plastic hardware is made by a company called National Molding. The QD sling swivels are blackened Stainless Steel from Troy. Finally, the key component is the QD Triglide made by IWC.

As a cop, I can really appreciate the versatility of this sling. On most tactical dynamic situations, I’d like to use a single point sling. This way I can transition quickly between my strong and weak side as I’m, say, moving through a building during a search for an active shooter. However, in that same building search scenario I may encounter a suspect that I have to handcuff. In this situation, I'd prefer a two point sling so that I can synch it tight for maximum weapon retention while using both hands on the suspect.

The VTP allows me to do all of that. In two point mode, the super fast length adjustment slides both ways without resistance. This allows for continued transition between strong and weak side in two point mode as well.

The buckles on the VTP provide the ability to quickly detach the weapon from its operator should that need arise.

In the photos that follow, I tried to illustrate the features of this well conceived sling.

I used the VTP in cunjunction with a Noveske End Plate.

The Triglide and QD swivel interface makes switching from single point to two point easy...

The QD swivel then attaches to a QD socket - in this case the rear QD socket on a FastRail.

Tightening the sling in two point mode is a breeze.

With a weapon slung tight against the body, going hands on is much easier than it would be with the weapon swinging at the end of single point sling.

In two point mode, adding length to the sling in order to transition to the weak side is also achieved easily.

The buckles allow for quick seperation of weapon and operator in both two point and single point modes.
