I have 5 scopes and would like to know which one would work best for my new Stag Arms Model 8 AR.

Simmons model 21017 3 x 9
Simmons model 7790D
Simmons model 21005
Bushnell model 74-3145-0 3.5-10X,45
Bushnell model 74-0640-0 6X.40

Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.

Without knowing your mission I'm not sure how anyone can help guide you to what will fit your needs. More detailed questions will lead to more detailed answers and will help other guide you to what will best fit your needs based upon your utilization requirements.

Wife bought me a Stag Arms AR-15 model 8 for my birthday and I don't have a mission I just want to fit it with one of the scopes that I have no hand until I can dicide what I want to do with it. I just plan on sighting it in at 100 yards and learning the weapon.

Based on that description I'd use the irons and if you want magnification buy the cheapest possible.

With your choices, Bushnell makes better scopes. Also look at the Super Sniper fixed 10x scopes. Great scopes for the money.

Congrats on the rifle and the wife! And I thought I was a lucky guy when my wife bought me a knife!

How well do you want to see your 100-yard target? If very well, then try your Bushnell 3.5-10x. If no so well, mount up one of your Simmons shotgun scopes. Since you have the 5 scopes you listed on hand, you have the luxury to swap them around to see which will suit you/your needs best.

Be safe, and enjoy your new rifle!

I'd not hesitate to look into Leatherwood scopes, too.

That said, Bushnell scopes are good starter scopes. I've had a Simmons for 11 or so happy years, too.
