Hello just thought i'd introduce myself. Have been shooting for a few year now and have a .300 blackout. 5.56 will be my next black rifle as i have a saiga ak variant as well.

Thanks but this will mainly be a hog gun there won't be a lot of shooting until i get my reload set up

Ill be building a 300 Blackout upper in the near future. Gotta love being able to use the 5.56 mags, lower and everything!! Nice looking build!!

I am really new to this too, ut if I read this correctly would I only need a 300 Blackout Upper and would be good to go?

Correct, the only thing different is the barrel and ammunition used. The magazines, bolt carrier group, and other components are all the same. Since most people don't swap out barrels on a regular basis, they just buy an extra upper.

Yep. 300 BLK uses the same 5.56/.223 bolt/bolt carrier, lower receiver, and mags. In all reality, all you really have to change out is the barrel and the flash suppressor.

just starting out yes, $130 was hard to sneeze at but i'm going to upgrade it in the future with a different trigger group. Most likely a giselle.
