Aimpoint C3 question...

I picked up an Aimpoint C3 for one of my recreational guns. But the first 4 settings on the dot brightness pot are not visible. The C3 isn't supposed to have NOD settings, but I don't pick up a dot until I get to 5.

Is this normal? I don't mind only having 5 usable settings... They seem to cover my needs... Just seems odd.

Yes, as far as I know that is normal. I remember someone asking the same question years ago on ARFCOM and that was the norm.

I just looked at my buddy's rifle that has a C3 on it. In daylight, the first 4-5 settings are not visible.

Inside a low lit room, with the rifle pointed at a black Camelbak, I could barely make out the first setting.

Cool... I was playing with the site last night... and in lower light I could make out setting 2. Out in the desert Sunday, I couldn't see anything under 5.
