Between the three of us who fired the new Smith and Wesson M&P 9mm Shield, there is over 75 years of training and experience, and the general feeling for this pistol was all the same. It conceals like a compact firearm, but fires like a full size weapon. While this is fractionally larger than my Kahr P9, it carries about the same and there is no different in how it feels regarding weight on my belt. The difference between shooting the 9mm Shield and the P9 is night and day, and I'll probably be picking up a M&P Shield to replace my smallest of carry weapons in the future.
