I'm building an XM177E2 and wanted to see if anyone can suggest a brand of fore grip/hand guard that is high quality and comes with a the heat shields.

I have an old set but they were poorly molded and never fit right. I would prefer a more matt plastic finish than a glossy one.

Thanks.

Have you checked the equip exchange at ar15.com for a lightly used Colt set?

I would love to join AR15.com but I don't have a non-free email address only gmail or yahoo.

Anyone use the C3 stuff?

For anyone else needing carbine old school hand guards, CMMG makes a great set. That's what I ended getting. Will post picks of it done once the barrel gets refinished by US Adonizing.
