Finally settled on the Troy Two Point Sling Assembly w/bungee cord.. Now I would like to see examples of how you folks have attached your slings. All my rifles have Magpul UBR stocks... so I am especially interested in how you chose to attach. Also, for the front attachment: Fixed (like the Gear Sector Rail Mount 1"loop) or a QD socket? My idea is to mount the rear with a QD socket and the front with a Gear Sector 1" loop (fixed). I know there are a thousand ways to do this... that is why I am asking what y'all did and why.

Thanks so much.

I can't say how this would work on a UBR, but this arrangement has worked well for me. I prefer QD's on both front and rear with rotation limit on the front.

I like the end plate made by Close Quarters Defense, it allows me to use my 2-point sling as a single point.

For a while I had a Magpul RSA on my handguard, but rarely use my sling as a 2-point so I removed it.

I had no idea about the rotation limiters. Thanks!

I actually bought three RSA's in hopes of useing them before changing my mind and going with Gear Sector. It is amazing how much stuff piles up as one tries to figure out what truly works for him.

Nice! Tell me though... why are the two ends of the sling attached on opposite sides of the rifle?

I've tried attaching the stock end to the Noveske end plate, or to the stock on the same side as the forearm. I never really had any issues in doing so, but at a TriCon course, Jeff Gonzales suggested this arrangement with the stock attachment on the opposite side and I found that it improved the way the rifle hangs, allows me to sweep it out of the way more securely for walking/running or for pistol transitions, and allows for easier transition to weak-side shooting.

I'm running the VCAS sling with QDs front and rear. On my UBRs I use the the rear QD attachment point on the opposite side from my handguard attachment. As HMAC mentioned, it hangs pretty well and side to side transitions are pretty good. Both of my UBRs still have the IWC QD mounts at the front. They work very well, but I've chosen to not use that set up any longer.

Great! Thanks for the information.
