What brand is your personal favorite? As we expand our showroom, we are planning on adding more tactical nylon. We are considering HSGI right now as we feel they are the most complete package but because nylon isn't our strong point, I wanted to ask you. I'd like to know what company and what products you really like.

Eagle Industries and HSGI are my favorites, although I do have some old T.A.G. pouches (that I was told were "junk" on some ridiculous forum) and they have held up to a lot of use.

HSGI...My TT stuff has taken a beating and still holds up great. Just recently purchased HSGI pouches and they are working just as everyone said they would - great.

My vote would be for HSGI as well. Been more than happy with the durability, functionality, and quality of my sure-grip belt, tacos, etc.

HSGI and OSOE.

London Bridge Trading, Crye, ATS

LBT has some really innovative stuff as well as Crye and ATS is just bombproof. I used to like Eagle but their move to the Dominican Republic made me stay away and their lack of innovation...

Keeping it all Made In The USA, gotta go with Tactical Tailor and HSGI, high end bomb proof gear with decent prices. BFG, Crye and First Spear have some cool looking stuff but are a little pricey and may not offer a good profit margin. One company that is great and that I have a few different products from is Zulu Nylon Gear. They do some collaborations and custom production pieces for different company's and all their stuff is cool, I would definitely be down for a Weapon Evolution/Zulu Nylon designed dump pouch/chest rig/war belt or small pack! Having a signature item would be kick ass and set your lineup apart from everything else.

I didn't realize until not too long ago we get our issued gear belts from them (LBT). Good stuff.

I use Original SOE Gear, http://originalsoegear.com and Tactical Taylor. John at SOE will modify products to meet your requirements. Good guy to work with.

Hello,

I like and use Spector Gear - their products are high quality, fair priced and they offer pretty much everything they make in my favorite color for nylon-gear, foliage green. http://www.spectergear.com/

I really like Spector's Belt Mounted, 20 Rd, 5.56 Magazine Pouches (their 30 Rd version is nice as well and my son uses them). BTW: All you have to do to these pouches if/when you want an open-top pouch is to simply fold the cover over and behind your belt - it works great and I like having the option of open and/or covered pouches. Specter's Belt Mounted Pistol Magazine Pouches are equally nice as well. http://www.spectergear.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=094

We also use and are happy with Spector's Standard Tactical Thigh Holsters - the quality & fit of this holster is great and Spector offers it for the two most important pistols, ie. The Browning High Power and The COLT 1911.

What are your thoughts on SKD Tactical. I spoke with the owners Sunday night and had a nice conversation.

Their PIG PC is top notch. It's the one I wear. Their gloves are also pretty good, although there are reports that they're lacking in the durability department. To be Honest, any of SKD Tac's in-house PIG Brand is GTG in my book.

I prefer U.S. made and use Blue Force, Jones Tactical, and TAG.

SKD has a great active inventory system, you can't order anything that isn't in stock and they offer flat rate same day shipping at a decent price. They have a good selection of brands, I can usually find what I'm looking for. Happy customer here.

I have experience with TAG, and have come to like the product I bought from them. (Marine Gladiator chest rig). Pricing is competitive.

Some of Shellback Tactical's rigs look nice, and if I were shopping locally I would appreciate seeing some of their items. In particular, the Banshee plate carrier seems to be pretty popular. (One of the reasons I want to try one is because a picture thread on another site reveals a lot of folks using it.)

While I have limited experience with the brand, word of mouth has caused me to have a positive feeling about HSGI. Even though I know little about their products, knowing a store carried that line would improve my opinion of the store because I associate that brand with high quality equipment. In particular, I hear they have very nice pads for adding on to chest rig straps.

I have always used Diamondback Tactical. Great product, never had any issues with it during training or deployments. However a few years back they stop making pouches and now only make body armor. Since then I have switch to TYR tactical, its owned by the former owner of Diamondback.

I've had only fantastic dealings with SKD Tactical and their gear. My chest rigs are primarily Esstac, and they're bombproof! I have other gear by OSOE, First Spear, Blue Force Gear and they're all top notch, too!

BTW, SKD Tactical and Rainier Arms are the first two places I usually check if I'm looking for something specific. Both great companies with awesome customer service and selection.

I'll second SKD's customer service, for the volume of traffic they handle they still get back to you super fast. Although I haven't bought too much from Rainer Arms I have nothing but good things to say about them as well. For retail/ production nylon items the following are top notch:

1. Blue Force Gear
2. ATS Tactical
3. Tactical Tailor
4. Mayflower Research
5. Grey Ghost Gear

For custom items the following are really great:

1. OC Tactical
2. CSM Tactical Gear

TYR Tactical
HSGI
TAD
LBT
Tactical Adventure Gear

In my time in the military, I've used (and loved) LBT, Eagle, and TT. As a contractor, I've used specifically TT since my boss was buying in bulk from them.

I have been really happy with LBT and Tactical Tailor for much of my gear. I also run a prototype Point blank plate carrier that I like pretty well after a few mods.
