Looks pretty good for a themed rifle. How does the duracoated BCG hold up?

Yeah, it does. Pull the trigger though and its all business. Just something done for fun.

Thanks, just something done for fun. So far, the duracoat seems to be ok, but we only have 2 mags through it to test it. I think I might try a different color on a another rifle and see how it holds up over time. I would expect wear in the normal places, but we shall see.

Is that a FAL? Sweet rifle. I'm in the process of piecing my "zombie killer" together. A few more weeks and I should be ready.

You kids and your fancy rifles.

Fact: zombies are allergic to slugs.

I read that over on ar15.com in the "zombie" forum, and as soon as I did I shut the lid on my laptop and ran out to buy ten cases.

Meet Delilah, she likes slugs:

Yep, it's a FAL. I built it back in about 1990 from an StG58 parts kit on an Imbel receiver, and added the necessary US compliance parts. It's not as accurate as an AR15, but remember that the 7.62 NATO round will penetrate 36 inches of solid oak...... at 200 meters.

Not shown in the picture is my Halbek muzzle brake from the Rhodes bush war. It slips over the Belgian muzzle device, and it seriously limits muzzle climb. It looks like something that fell off of some farmer's tractor, but it works.
