Not Warren Tactical, but the glock shown has a Trijicon two dot system, one front and one rear, similar to the Warren setup.

Hard for me to speak of speed, I wear a "Medium Speed, Some Drag" T-shirt [BD]

Having said that, when we all get together at GriffonSec's in the spring and fall, we have a dueling tree. From holster to "on target" does seem a little slower for me with the straight eight (at first), but that isn't really a fair comparison. I shoot mostly 1911's and the only straight eight I have is on a Glock. The Glock grip angle throws me at first, and takes awhile to get in sync with it. Once I'm in the groove (more like a ditch) they are pretty comparable. I think a Glock "person" might be quicker with the eights, but that opinion is based on the fact that mine has a larger front dot and is really easy to pick up. As someone famous (don't remember who) once said, "Front sight, Front sight, Front sight!" and that dot is nice.

Funny, but this subject has been on the back-burner of my brain (dimly lit, low flame)[:D], and I've wondered about the 2 dot system off and on for quite a while. I'm like Jerry a bit, have the front sight on my mind, but trying to align 3 dots takes precious time, especially with "mature" eyeballs, and therefore the curiosity of the two dot system.

Check the pro-i dot's. I reviewed them a while ago. I really like them for what they are and they are pretty good overall.

At less than half the price of blue label, with a Storm Lake conversion barrel and extra mags, I kinda felt obligated to prove him wrong. First full size Glock I've ever owned. Thank ya Sir! I ran a few mags through it shortly after this pic. For me, it's a significant improvement in how I hold/point/present the pistol. I really am quite smitten so far. The Overwatch Trigger is quite nice, I notice the reset and it has a nice pull. I have one on my 42 as well, but that thing's so small it's hard to say if it does anything really.

I'm thinking this is a keeper, and I'm in it for roughly the price of a factory 22. Now if I can find a holster for it. I see tons for the 940c, not for the full size. I've only seen reference to Glock 20/21 holster "will work". Anyone have ideas or sources?

Yes. Brownells slide. Lone Wolf internals. Stock trigger for now. Agency Arms barrel. Runs like a top. Had a couple hiccups in the first 25 rounds or so, but smooth sailing since.

I bought the non-RMR version and have a Blacklist Industries Barrel running in it. For something I put together with extra parts laying around on about $250, it's turned into a pretty nice shooter.

You using a holster? I find I can barely fit it into a Safariland 6360 duty holster.

Might do one up sometime as a side project, even if it is more expensive than a factory Glock frame. [:D]

I was into the 22 damn cheap, and Brownells ran a sale on them the weekend I bought it. Outside of the slide work, I'm in it for about factory retail. It's the first Glock I can consistently shoot well now, about my favorite pistol to shoot. That P80 frame makes a world of difference.

Trying out Magpul’s Glock 19 L-Plates on their PMags.

I like the rubberized padding that cushions the mag when ejecting it onto the ground. The only issue is when they land on a spent case mouth, it can cut the rubber. Mine have a couple semi circular marks on them but it’s like shooting a resealable target: no real damage done.

Main reason, I usually put different sights on, and I swap out barrels, since I happen to have some extras for future builds. Just a cost thing for me.

Love mine. Used it to build a P80. Fit and finish were perfect. Tight lock up with AA barrel. Accurate as I am. Have since added the Apex trigger kit from Brownells as well.

Appreciate the input guys. I'll probably need a custom holster anyhow since I'm going to be using a Surefire XC-1B light on it. I don't plan to carry it either, so a holster is not a huge concern. This will be a fun range toy until I get some time with the RDS and see if I like it.

I had a QVO Wingman IWB appendix rig made for it. I run it with an Inforce APLc. It rubbed rubbed a little when it was new. But after several hundred draws it’s broken and fits like a glove

I told myself I wasn’t buying another Glock...the I built 3 more with those new Timberwolf Large Frames. Oh well.

I use the unit from Wheeler. Kind of copy a of the MGW. Works great. Been using it for a year or two now and haven’t come across a set of sights it wouldn’t work on. Haven’t dinged a slide yet. [emoji1695]

You’ll be happy with it. It’s a quality tool. I ordered the MGW from Brownells originally. But I ended up sending it back. Don’t get me wrong, it’s an amazing top of the line tool. But by the time I got all the “shoes” I needed for it, I just couldn’t justify the price. The wheeler is 85-90% the tool the MGW is but at 1/5th the price.

I actually use the wheeler quite often. It’s one of those things that you didn’t realize how much you needed until you have it. It’s held up well.

I usually just wrap some painters tape around my slide when I’m pushing sights in and out. But even the times I’ve been too lazy to wrap the tape it hasn’t damaged the slide.

A little G45 love... Trijicon HDs arrived yesterday, so i'll be installing those ASAP. I almost bought the one with factory installed Ameriglo HD copycat sights, but the orange dot wasn't centered on the front sight and that would have drove me crazy.

Picked up a 19x recently. Unfortunately, seller misplaced the factory +2 extensions but did include some Mesa Tactical extensions, I think I'd prefer the factory extensions though. Anyone have a set of 19x +2 extensions to sell?

I've added a Zev Pro Connector, most of a Ghost spring kit, Glock extended slide stop, and bca threaded barrel. Had Dawson sights on it when I bought it, again would have rather of stuck with the glock night sights. Will soon install suppressor height night sights and once I settle on which, a 9mm can.

come to think of it, they are the taran tactical +5/6, not Mesa as I listed previously. Unfortunately, a LGS emblazened them with their logo. May cerakote them FDE or Coyote to clean them up a bit. Ordered a factory 19rnd 19x mag this morning.

A few changes make a big difference. Had the mag extensions cerakoted in fde, got rid of that damn large logo, trijicon tall sights, and a surefire tlr1-hl in fde.

Other than an aftermarket barrel, mine is running on a dead stock Glock and S&B 115gr bullets (albeit with a different mount). I love the setup for what it is.

The slide, which is a Unity Tactical ATOM slide has all OEM components other than an aftermarket barrel and an SCD.

This is an extremely good setup for home defense use, and for NVG use (with a suppressor).

I'll likely be getting one of those Flux braces for it when they make them for gen3's, as that may have good potential.
