Totally agree. The tools are more in line with what I want and need, plus they extend easier. The new scales have better grip as well. I've been carrying mine since I got it.
What do you think of the EDC? I've been thinking about getting one of those too, but the Series 3 has had me covered.

I'm not afraid of your wallet, but I fear wives; they're the ones with the power. [BD]

I tend to be really stubborn about things, mostly because it pisses my friends off. I refused to watch American Beauty for 10 years before my friend tricked me into it (what a crap movie). I really tried to hold out and not sign up for Facebook, but...I feel so dirty.

You should feel dirty, I refuse and will refuse unless I forced to by department policy.

How is the new wrench?

I haven't used it, I was just given it for a few photos, but it seems really well made; very solid. Something I wasn't expecting, but I think is a nice touch is that they put the torque values for barrel nuts, muzzle devices and castle nuts on the back.

That's not a bad idea. I think I finally have enough builds going on to justify a real wrench and this doesn't look to bad for $80

I grabbed one a couple of weeks ago because my cheap Chinese steel finally crapped out trying to torque a barrel nut enough to get the gas tube through. So far, I've been very impressed. Teeth grab like they should. I also used it to swap out a muzzle device. You'll need to "feed" the muzzle device through the receiver extension hole to get it to fit (took me a second or two to realize that), but then it worked well and was easy to torque to spec.
I'm definitely glad I got it and I'm sure it will last a long time.

Not really a multitool, since it only serves one purpose, but not sure where else to post it.

I was given this one as a stocking stuffer:

All kinds of screwdriver attachments and torx bits, an A1/A2 sight post tool, the little black box on the right is magnetic to put all the little pins and parts that disappear sometimes, a bolt scraper tool and other accouterments
