For those that haven't seen this yet. S&W is releasing the new M&P Pro Series C.O.R.E. Models. Looks like they will available in 3 flavors M&P40L CORE (178059), M&P40 CORE (178060) and M&P9 CORE (178061).

Wow. S&W has really upped their game in the past couple years. They are moving quickly with some excellent products. Might be a good time to buy some stock!

I think everyone is going to start producing something like this. Except Glock, because they're so freaking slow.

I'd say it depends on the price. I've got my receiver set up pretty well already, so if they could do it at so it'd cost me about the same to get the slide and an optic as it would to just buy the complete gun without a MRD, then they'd still be ahead.

I am very happy to see S&W doing this. Its very forward thinking and I am glad its now factory supported. Those guys deserve some props for getting these to market.

It won't affect our Glock stuff, and might affect our M&P work, but nonetheless the guys at S&W are good friends and we are happy to see this come to market.

It may put the optic slightly higher than ATOM, doesnt allow use of a Micro, and may not be future optic compatible.

And at the end of the day, were all here for the same reason. Support the Warfighter, LE Professional, and Armed Civilian.

Plus we have FDE :)

I may have to pick up an M&P now. Glad to see more optics ready pistols.
