War Sport Industries, LLC (http://www.warsport-us.com/) (WSI) has introduced the Rail Sock, a rail cover constructed with a "thermal" material, outer 500D fabric, and Kevlar thread, custom made to fit various rail systems. A shock cord is apparently included to help secure the Rail Sock to the rail, but that detail has not been specified in WSI's Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=439825709410651&set=a.157495584310333.34490.156809084378983&type=1&ref=nf) at the time of this writing. The designed purpose for this product, according to WSI is to provide "a thermal barrier for cold weather applications and shields heat signatures from thermal imaging."

The thermal material used by WSI is rated to 1,700 Deg/F. The outer 500D materials has rows of MOLLE webbing allowing the end user to mount various items.

Cost for the Rail Sock depends on the rail configuration, but will run between $75 to $125. Inquiries and/or order can be made by e-mailing WSI at: info@warsport-us.com.
