AR Gas Vents, by Simplistic Shooting Solutions are an ingenius solution to the age old problem of suppressor blow back with semi-automatic rifles. Given that suppressors work by trapping and slowing propellant gasses, this can be an issue with semi-automatic weapons which extract shells and fling gasses in the bore and suppressor backwards towards users.
By created a large channel in the upper receiver which vents forward, the AR Gas Vent greatly reduces blowback which can irritate user's eyes and airways. The newest revision of the AR Gas Vent started rolling out, and utilizes a matte, Type III anodizing to better blend with AR uppers.
