Hey guys,

I've completed building my upper and am going to pick up a Mega stripped lower on Thursday. It's time for me to buy a lower parts kit (LPK) and was looking for some recommendations. Specialized Armament has some Colt kits but they are expensive. Are there any alternatives with almost the same quality for a bit less?

Thanks.

LPK's I personally like and have had good results:

1. G&R Tactical LPK (Uses mainly LMT parts)
2. Daniel Defense LPK's
3. PSA LPK's

I've used other LPK's Stag, RRA, DPMS... the only one I would stay far far away from was the DPMS. Usually I opt for the LPK minus the trigger group as I only use ALG or Geissele Triggers.

I went ahead and picked up a trigger-less PSA LPK and an ALG QMS trigger

Thanks for the recommendations UWone77, I appreciate it.

Let us know how you like that ALG trigger.

PSA LPK is G2G IMO. (Acronym party).

I have 2 built with them and never an issue.

My latest rifle I built used a DD which is also notoriously good to go as well.

I'm kind of late on the reply here but I've had good luck with the Stag lower parts kits. To some extent it can be luck of the draw but the last couple I tried went in without any issues and the resulting trigger pull was decent, actually similar to the single ALG trigger that I have.

There's no substitute for quality - so get the high quality, Genuine COLT LPK from Specialized Armament and don't look back.
