I can't figure out who makes this rail system and its driving me insane. Is it even an AR rail?

The image came from a damage industries' muzzle brake post

I believe it's Remington's proprietary rail system... but I could be wrong.

You're right. I saw this on AR15News.com about the damage industry brake. Link (http://www.ar15news.com/2012/08/28/new-damage-industries-muzzle-brake-5-567-62-intro-price-14-95/)

And….because I already know tons of you are going to ask. The rail system in the picture above is the one that comes on the Remington MSR (Modular Sniper Rifle) and unfortunately is not available for individual purchase.

You are correct it is off the MSR:
http://www.remingtonmilitary.com/Firearms/Sniper%20Rifles/MSR.aspx

But they make a similar one for there R5 RGP:
http://www.remingtonmilitary.com/Firearms/Carbines/RGP.aspx

It also looks like they might come out with a non-military only rail for all of us called the RAHG:
http://www.remingtonmilitary.com/Accessories/Rifle-Carbine/RAHG.aspx

If you search "Remington RAHG" there are pics and posts about them showing up all over.

I am also in love with the rail but have not been able to find it for sale anywhere
