AR-10 Build help

Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum and am looking to build an AR-10 on the cheap. After the latest unfortunate happenings across the nation we all know the AR ban is probably gonna be coming back and I want to build mine so that I dont have them on record and also I have a feeling its going to be cheaper.

Can an AR-10 be done for under $1,000? build it myself? I am going to need part numbers web sites would be even better. What pieces do I need to complete this project? I know and upper and lower but what else?

It doesn't make sense to build an AR10 from the ground up if you're only going to do one. By the time you buy the tools and such, you're at the cost of a complete rifle. If by build you mean purchasing a complete upper and matching it to a complete lower, that works. I don't think you're going to keep it under the $1K mark though, unless you find a deal on a used one.
