Surefire or Streamlite

A light is not a light. My boss and I discussed tactical lights the other day and there is a big difference in what we each want from a tac light. I like a in your face direct light and he wants a show me the world light. I personally like the Surefire X2 Fury tac light and he likes the Streamlite series.

From my past experience I also liked that the beam was directly on what I was pointing my weapon at. But back then I always had a partner or two to my left and right. So my boss makes a valid point on opening the beam up more to show you more of what is around you. Any suggestions on a decent light to mid-weight tac light for a move and shoot/ home defender type setup?

Even large houses tend to be pretty small when you figure light hitting walls and creating secondary illumination sources. Are you looking to hand hold, or weapon mount the light?
