Bad Bullet Button

I was finally getting my new DDM4V1 out and cleaned to try it out and break it in. I inserted (tried to) the mag. It would not insert all the way. I played with it and finally got it in but then the mag release would not depress. As the title states this is a bullet button type.

I got the mag out with a slight tap. Now the mags go in but do not lock. I originally was using the factory mag. Switched to a Pmag, no change. Upon inspection it appears as though the insert in the mag button is stuck down. I will take it back to the dealer but was curious if anyone has seen this or has any ideas. Thanks.

Did you install the BB yourself?

Nope, everything on the gun is factory and never used. I was just getting ready to clean and oil it prior to the first use.
