Hey guys I'm looking for some guidance on getting a full rail for my stag. I have looked and found some from MI and DD. both are great but I second guess myself on what will work on my rifle. It's a model 1 carbine length. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/01/14/e9ezu2yb.jpg

And this is what I am shooting for. I found this pic on google but could not find any info on the gun or the owner.

I have a DD Lite 9 on one of my rifles for a couple of years and it's been a well-made and solid forearm. I haven't found much need for that long of a rail (especially a quad rail), however, as I don't have much that I need to hang off of it. I'm trying to get ahold of a Noveske NSR to replace it since I'll only need keys for a QD sling attachment, a light, and a hand stop.

Make sure of your needs in buying one of these expensive rails...realistically evaluate how much rail space you actually need.

A good place to review the best offerings is Ranier's site http://www.rainierarms.com/?page=shop%2Fbrowse&category=ar15forearmsystems

Hi LH556: I was in a similar situation just a bit ago, with the same rifle. I swapped out my Magpul carbine-length handguard for a Troy tubular rail (Alpha model). After asking a question here about length considerations I ended up going with a 13" model. Unlike your photo however, I cut my FSB down to fit under the rail. I've only mocked it up to this point but so far it feels great and allows me more reach, which is why I made the change. I will post a photo later on for you to view.

I believe Troy also makes a handguard very similar to the one you've posted. Here is a link for you:

You'll also find the Alpha rail that I installed. It's actually the VTAC version with slots rather than holes.

Hi Lh556- Here is a terrible photo but you can get an idea of what it looks like. I just finished the install. I'm dry-firing with various set ups. Right now as you can see the handguard is bare except for the sight and sling attachment point. I've been practicing with my TLR-1 in front of the MBUS, and a short piece of rail at the bottom with a hand stop as well. I'll post again when I have it worked out.

I have rifles with various length Troy Rails and I have one rifle that has the DD MFR 12.0 rail. I would say that you can't go wrong with either.

Here is one of my Stag's with a 9in Troy VTAC rail.

I would take a look at centurion arms. Have a couple of there rails. They're great quality. The carbine cutout, or 12.0 fsp would work with your rifle.

Thank you guys for all the help. I decided I'm going to go with the Troy delta rail. I will post pics as soon as it comes in.
