You didn't specify so I'm assuming you wiped out the groundhogs with those spiked atlas feet.
The cleats draw more blood, but the spikes would make a great disemboweling tool as a coup de gras to a D60 mag dump. [:)]

Yeah a little gray, some black, a little brown thrown in... Looks like the result of a trip to the waffle house after a night of gettin' yer bender on. [:D]

Pretty light though, I was pleasantly surprised. I almost don't want to put an optic on it and mess up the feel. For a mutt, its got no play in the upper/lower union, either. Can't wait to get it out and shoot some.

Dustin at Northtech had some foliage sets cerakoted awhile back. When I couldn't get my hands on a set, I just decided, what the heck, I'm going to do one on my own and had an extra Aero set floating around with a CMR, so it finally came together. The barrel was waiting for a gas block pin for 4 months in my garage before I finally decided to bring it into Rainier. I bought several sets of Foliage furniture for future builds as well as soon as Magpul decided to pull the plug. I think it's an underrated color!

No, grip and rifle is a friend's (same friend so buys all the weird stuff).

It's comfy. Too steep for me at the second notch of a six position stock.

Great with the stock fully collapsed. Would be good for a pistol.

That would just be "woodland" - colors are black, magpul fde, patriot brown, OD green - no fades.

Grip is straight how David sent it, it's a Brown Gen 2 lightweight with scallops and "Trax" panels IIRC.

Thanks, guys. Canon 50mm F1.4 on a Canon 7D. Shot in a big hurry because the sun was setting pretty quickly. Had about 30 minutes to run out in the back yard and figure out how and what to shoot. I just dragged a metal table around the back yard while I chased the sun. I have several other shots, but I just grabbed these three to show off my pride and joy. The muzzle device was the first part I won. The billet lower was second. It fits like a glove with the CMT upper.

Yes and yes.

One of the very first two off the CNC during test setups. Never tumbled or anodized. I cleaned up the tooling marks and sharp edges by hand. I couldn't see it just sitting on a shelf, I have the early 3D prototypes already, so I put it to appropriate use - on that 20" which was my first AR build circa '07. I had to do a little machine work cutting back the top rail and opening the lower cuts to get the pins in - it also uses a prototype AL barrel nut that didn't go into initial production.

12.5"? Looks great. I need to put a bipod back on my Recce. The Harris I had on it got lent out and stayed on my 18", and will continue to stay, after the rattle can. And I don't like the AFG....but I think I like it better than the VFG I have from the Army (Knights)

Thanks, and yes, 12.5". I'm hoping to true it on Friday at distance. Once I recover from a new laptop and Xmas travel expenditures, I'll throw a Harris on it. For now I can only dream that Slippers comes out with a QD version of this mount "soon." I have a sneaky suspicion I won't have the patience to wait and I'll end up throwing his current fixed version on there. Time will tell.

I have all the other "nice" lower parts for my woodland gun, all cerakoted FDE and ready to go, but the HVA and Norgan are the only ambi releases that will fit the billet lower, and I really prefer the HVA.

Charles Daly 40 rounders seem to work alright. I had one failure to feed on the first round of a fresh mag but I think it was the new spring combined with the steel case on the steel mag body.

Thanks guys, really appreciate it. I'm always hesitant to post pictures here just due to how many incredible photographers showcase their work here. I finally set up a dedicated gun room/hobby room and the next project is setting up a light box and practicing with the budget DSLR and getting more into photography.

The little AR9 build runs surprisingly well. Considering how picky these can be this run ate 200 rounds of garbage budget 9mm without a hiccup. Just had to work the ASC mags a little to work with the bolt and it has been good to go.

I'm of the philosophy that gallery pics can be art, info or both. The lens maestros here are amazing, but the rest of us shleps should not be intimidated into not displaying our stuff. If only artists were welcome this would be a mighty small clubhouse.

I've no idea yet. My glass moves around depending on what's going to the range. The rifle is heavy at 7lbs (after I shaved 5oz in the barrel swap). Permanent glass needs to be light.

I was looking hard at the Vortex. Doc gave me a deal and I jumped on it.

The aimpoint is back on. Can't wait to get the set from Axlenut. Ordering a barrel this weekend. Then all that is left is charging handle, takedown pins and a trigger. Then onto the .308 and poor town.

I have had the Springfield Saint for about 6 weeks now and have done a fair amount of research on it and other ARs as well. I have to say that so far, I really like this rifle. I have put about 500 rounds through it and have not had any issues whatsoever. What I found was I really like researching various parts to find out the ends and outs of this rifle. I found that the Saint is very similar to the BCM MID16 Mod 0. Much of the same furniture obviously but the look is almost exact other than the BCM does not come with a rear sight out of the box. Not sure if the BCG is BCM or not or if the trigger group or charging handle is BCM either. No idea about the barrel either. After researching as much as I could about the Saint for 2 weeks, I found myself listing out parts I might want to use if I ever decided to build my own. Then all of a sudden I starting ordering parts.

The freedom bone raptor charging handle doesn't mitigate gas enough (if at all) for the upcharge.

Based on the Freedom Bone's design, I don't see how it could mitigate any gas.

You have read wrong. They without a doubt function. I have 6-7 with F/A's. In fact I don't hunt with any that do not have a forward assist. I'm not real into leaving the barn on a buggy with a round in the chamber and there is no way to ride the charging handle forward and chamber a round quietly in the stand without a F/A.
