yeah, I have tons of ar mags in my safe and just grab a few at a time, as long as they work I use them, the pistol mags are mostly p2000 magazines but i was in the process of switching them out for the vp9 ones but just decided to take a quick pic

I was going to go with a red one, but I decided to try green since it's easier for the eye to identify. This is my first magnified optic and I can tell I'm going to love it.

Thanks Rob for posting it for me and UWone for merging it. I was at work when Stickman asked to see it. As everyone can certainly imagine, I'm anxious for it to arrive. I'll post a real pic of it when it gets here along with parts list and range report and a review of it. This is a rifle length piston operated AR with a lightweight 1:7 twist, 16.5" Vooodoo Innovations barrel. This won the Gunstruction Modern Musket design contest.

I just got the ACOG today and I'm in love. I've used a 4x32 but the TA11 is definitely a step up.

Rowland, very nice. That's exactly the build I've been piece mealing together over the last few months as a side project. Just picked up a KAC RAS, VFG, and a LMT SOPMOD Just not sure if I want to use a Colt or BCM.

Thanks. I put some blood and sweat into that gun - literally. When I was mounting the side sling swivel, I dropped one of the roll pins and, naturally, it fell behind some heavy stuff. When I finally found it, I stood up and hit my head on the corner of my cast iron band saw table. Bled like a stuck pig.

That's the disadvantage using the BCM. If you want the side sling swivel, you'll have to mount it yourself. It was one of the more frustrating things I've done. Setting the rivet was easy, but getting that second roll pin in was a pain in the butt. But got it in with no scuffs. The sling swivel is a Colt Defense brand from Brownells.

Very smooth shooting gun. I've shot 7.5 inch DI guns before and they do a "thump" but this one wasn't like that. It shot more like my 11.5 BCM than a 16 inch gun.

I like the bottom one a LOT... and don't say that crap because everyone has a chance. People are fickle about what they like brother. Hell, that guitar case 260 is out of focus and not exactly knock me out of the chair but he has more likes than both of my runners up combined. Think positive. I will say this though... I went way off the grid with the 3 I submitted to try and stand out from a lot of what will be what will be commercial print shots that you can find all over Sticks, UWs, TripleB, etc FB pages. So whatever you do make sure it's yours and unique.

I really like the picture of the double lowers. I think the top pic has been done too often, but for some reason, I love the lowers.

What pic or pics did you end up sending in as entries?

I'll upload my submissions when I get home from work. The 3 I submitted are more conventional than the photo of the 2 lowers. I got mixed reviews from friends on that one and it didn't turn out the way I wanted it to. I had wanted there to be 3 lowers, but I only had 2 vice clamps and holding the 3rd lower in frame wasn't working. It never looked right to me once I couldn't get 3 lowers in frame.

Here's my build I'm trying to finish up.. 2nd AR but first build. Almost there. Need better optic, BUIS and BCG but for my purposes right now I'm really happy with how its turned out. It all started with winning a Voodoo Innovations 14.5" Mid barrel with pinned flash hider and I kind of just went from there. Already had the bug, but putting this together myself really did it for me.. Already planning a build around the rail I won here.. Cant wait to get going on it..

The SLR is about one of the only handguards I don't have. Might have to try one out sooner or later.

The 10" black on is mine and the 12" bronze one is Atomic Tactical's, so I can only comment on the 10" one. I really like the feel of it. I'm not a big fan of handguards that are too round and I like to have some corners that dig into my hand a bit. My preference is the Geissele SMR (I have a Mk4). The SLR has a similar feel to the Mk4 SMR, but with a slightly more round feel to it. Installation was easy enough, as they've made it so you can use a crescent wrench. If you want to use a torque wrench you'll need to use a crow foot. One feature I like is a "washer" that goes between the split in the bottom of the rail (the part that closes up with the two bolts to tighten it to the barrel nut). It both keeps the rail from sliding forward (if the hardguard loosened up somehow), and it keeps you from overtightening the rail to the point of damaging it.

All-in-all, it's very lightweight and feels pretty solid.

That is the one thing that stopped me from picking one up, I think that was the biggest complaint from all the reviews that I read (the emitter reflecting on the glass). And I figured if I was going to drop $800 on an optic I wouldn't want to see that.

I'd say it's a draw. Cheek welds feel similar. Magpul looks better IMO but the BCM locks up tighter, less play.

Yeah mine is a 14.5" with a SD3G. Love all the Geissele flat bow triggers, thought they were the ugliest things till I tried one. I had KAC panels on it and didn't like it. How are you liking your Scalarworks mount?

The mount is great. I'm not sure if I notice the weight savings, as the rifle was already pretty light, but I love that there isn't a lever to snag on anything. It's also stayed pretty secure; the detent holds the knob well.

So far it's not bad. Keep in mind I haven't got to shoot this yet but just from shouldering the rifle it feels very nice. It's lightweight and stay in place well. I'll have more input once I finally get to shoot this baby.

GOST, I have no time at all with it at the range. This is a buddy's project. However, I do have a Hogue stock in the package for a future build. Just handling it though, it's pretty nice. Very comfortable. I could see the rubberized portion of the stock being useful. Very tight fit on the Receiver Extension as well.

I don't NEED a 9". My plan was to tuck a Kx3 or 5 under the 12" rail. Just acquired my trust yesterday, and have been thinking more about suppressors. First on the list will be a SBR for sure, but if I use the 12" rail on the SBR that eliminates the possibility to use a can unless I go with a 12.5" barrel, and I'd rather have 10.5-11.5"

I've only got 2 of them. Found them at Streicher's at the beginning of the panic. They never looked right in my black AR, but they look good in this FDE. Means I need an FDE rifle now. [:D]
