as it is a bolt action, reducing muzzle climb is not a goal, however I would like to reduce recoil if possible. I believe it is threaded to the same standard as typical AR-10/7.62. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

The barrel is threaded 5/8-24. Most any 30 cal muzzle device will work. Ross Schuler make inexpensive brakes, but there are dozens of different kinds available that will cut down on recoil (at the expense of additional blast and noise).

With an AAC Brakeout, you'd get recoil reduction and the ability to add a can.

I second the Brakeout. Great all around recoil reduction.

For an inexpensive brake ross is GTG, he made one for my 308 bolt action, i emailed him one day, he replied with questions and payment instructions, i paypaled the same day and had the brake 2 days later. $45 shipped for a custom configured to your dimensions brake is a great price for what it is.
