Aero Precision (http://aeroprecisionusa.com/) is making available non-anodized forged upper and lowers. These are for those of you DIY'ers that want to coat the parts themselves without having to go through the pain of sandblasting and stripping off the original anodizing.

Our stripped lower receiver (http://aeroprecisionusa.com/shop/ar15-stripped-lower-receiver-non-anodized)allows you to build a custom AR15 from the ground up. Mil-spec dimensions and coating ensure the highest quality and correct component interface.

Features:

•Semi-auto AR15 lower receiver
•Machined from 7075-T6 forged aluminum
•Marked “Cal Multi”
•Works with standard AR15 components and magazines
•Rear takedown pin detent hole is threaded for a 4-40 set screw

As of 08-23-13 Aero Precision (http://www.aeroprecisionusa.com) has lowered the prices on their Non Anodized Lowers and Uppers. They are now $85 and $75 respectively.

I hope they have these in when I head down to the new Surplus Ammo store in Tacoma .
