I snatched up a police trade in G17 Gen 4 for $400 in December 2012. Some Department heard there might be trouble with the Gen 4s and got rid of all of their new ones. I don't think it had a single round through it, looking at the thing. Got it from a place in PA called Atlantic Tactical.

There were problems with the Gen 4s when they first came out, Glock did a pretty good job of keeping it quiet, but the way they handled some things increased department sales for S&W.

In one of our best local stores, $499 for new Gen 3's $599 for new Gen4's. Funny thing, on Armslist, people in KY haven't got the news yet that Glocks are readily available in local stores. So they're asking 700+ still catering to the folks that didn't hear the world did not end on Dec 21, 2012, or that a new one can be had for $200 -$300 less than their used one. I guess it sucks to be one of the "opportunists" to buy up guns, thinking they'd sucker folks into paying double their worth. Now they're stuck with them.

Nice to see I'm not the only one seeing people asking $700+ for their Glocks.

I've seen gen 3 Glock 9mm running about 300-350 per unit. Many of these were former depart guns, the pistols show wear but had been up graded with new springs and some parts.

I've been thinking about putting my Gen 4 27 up for sale. It has Vickers slide stop and mag release, Skimmer trigger and Meprolight low pro 3 dot tritiums. With three mags and original take off parts I'd probably ask about $700 and that isn't firm. I don't understand how a bone stock glock would go for that much.

(hint hint if anyone would be interested. hijack over)

I just picked up a minty Gen3 G17 for $459. Does not look to have been fired much but the factory copper colored lube was gone, so obviously had been cleaned.

Aided by their decision to stonewall on the well-documented ejection issues on the later Gen 3's.

It makes it hard to pay $600+ when we can get blue label glocks for $460.

Around $450 in east TN for a used G17. Retired military and LEO used to get them from Craig's for around $349 for a new G19, don't know if that's still Craig's going price.

I know this thread is a bit old, but for a VCG 19 and 23 and most others, except hard to find Glocks, the prices are still at about $450ish used. Can buy them at the store for not too much more, if you can find some new Gen 3's. Gen 4's retailing about 650 or so. (asking).

I don't know about you, but I inquired about the blue label deal, and was told they didn't do retired military. They weren't asses about it or anything, just said it wasn't available through them. I guess all stores don't do that? They give me great deals on stuff all the time and so I didn't sweat it. Lastly, I have the two that I really want. A gen 3 19 & 23 my other day to day pistols are both M&P's.

Still, for some reason, some folks in KY still have not gotten the word that the world isn't in chaos, and that a meteor the size of the moon is not heading our way. These folks are still trying to get new + prices on Armslist, for used guns well some of them anyway.[crazy] Oh, BTW, that includes the standard line 'less than 50 rounds".... yeah..yeah..yeah..

I saw a Glock 23 on consignment the other day for $400. That's the lowest price I've ever seen. When I pulled the slide it still had the factory copper anti-sieze! Had to snatch it up even though I don't do .40 [:)]

I'm seriously debating buying a co-worker's G19, I think Gen 3. He wants $400 for the gun, three standard cap mags and one neutered mag; a nice camera case converted to a gun case and cheapo laser. I'm thinking about offering $350 for the gun and mags...he can keep the case and laser.

FT,

Here's what Glock says from their basic rules on Blue Label:

Military personnel including Reservists and National Guard with I.D. Includes retired Military with "retired" credentials

I'm hoping come June I'll have a fancy new Blue Label G19 Gen 4 for my birthday. Just need to drop a few more hints towards my wife...

GD,
Credentials were no problem, I had my ID card in my back pocket. The salesman made it sound like it's for participating dealers only? I don't know, but I have the only two Glocks I really want, a 19 and 23, Both Gen 3's, so I'm good either way.

Thanks,

This guy is good and cheap for some pretty nice guns. He is usually who I check when buying used as a price basis. http://summitgunbroker.com/17-gen-3.html

Whoops. Helps if I actually read your post. Yes, not all Glock dealers are Blue Label dealers. They have to apply and it's apparently not a quick process.

O.K., that's the deal... I guess if I do buy another (I am somewhat seriously considering a 10mm), I'll have to shop around for a shop that deals with Blue Label purchases.

FT I picked up a blue label G19 Gen 4 earlier this year. What I like about the Gen 4 is it actually fit my small hands compared to the previous Gen models. It is currently the wife's pistol and she likes it for her winter carry. Now that spring is here she is wanting something smaller. We are going this week to look at the Bersa BP9CC, M&P Shield, and Steyr S9-A1 for her spring/summer carry.

If you can get blue label prices the Glock is hard to beat.

I have yet to find a better deal than GT Distributors. No mark up and they sell at the actual Glock BL price. I got my G17 Gen4 from them (even with my CA billing address at the time, which I appreciated). Locally I've found dealers markup their Blue Label prices $30-$50. Hey, I get it, but still kind of annoying when you also have to pay tax...not that I don't pay tax on my internet purchases, of course.

I'm planning on grabbing that G19 I mentioned from them as well "soon." My other problem is I'm kind of lusting after a MK25, which they don't carry. Decisions, decisions.

It's funny how the Gen 4 seemed to fix a lot of people's problems. Your hands are small, so it helps you. I have long fingers and with the back strap, it allows me to shoot a Glock straight. Glock Gen 4...the Glock panacea.

Looking for a good deal on an O/U shotgun for bird season next fall, I visited Armslist. I thought about this thread, and went to the pistol thread. People here are still asking $550 for used gen 3 G17 's with 4 or 5 mags, and the obligatory assurance of a "very low round count", or "less than 50 rounds". LGS was selling (while they lasted) New Gen 3's here for $499. They were selling the incoming Gen 4's for $599.

So, for here at least, it seems people still think their Gen 3 Glocks are worth more than the going price for a new one. I'd really like to know what people are actually paying...

I just got $550 from an ad on Armslist for my Gen 3 Glock 19 with BTF option (addressed successfully with Apex FRE) and 2 extra magazines. I had about 15 emails on that ad and 3 or 4 guys that were ready to drive from as much as two hours away. That pistol was originally a Blue Label gun.
