Looking for recommendations for a stubby vertical forward grip for a Geissele MK4.

I'm interested to see how folks deal with these things as more and more companies start offering Brazilian handguards. Obviously they all offer bolt-on rail sections to attach traditional Picatinny accessories, but that seems rather inelegant.

I only use two VFGs, three if you count the two types of Mapul attachment for each seperately.

For Magpul MOE handguards

For when I'm unconcerned with removing the VFG

For when I might want to remove, and want a little storage (although I often leave the cap off permanently)

For out-of-spec rails or when I know I'll be switching it out frequently

The last one is my least favorite because I can't find a good spot/orientation for the lever that doesn't get in the way of my grip.

With the 3 / 6 / 9 picatinny slots being so far forward on the Geissele MK4, this could be an issue. The two I use are the MagPul AFG V-2 which is not a stubby, and the LaRue FUG. The FUG comes with replaceable end-caps to let you determine the length of the VFG, and it has storage inside - storage varies based on the length of the end-cap selected. The FUG is also QD. Shown below at it's shortest length.

I think rob already hit the best stubby VFG's out there. I also like the Troy. Where on the rail are you going to stall the VFG?

I usually use them like a hand stop for back pressure. I was wondering if the one Rainier has for the Evo rails would work ona MK4? Always been a fan of Jerry's stamp collector pic.
