I went and zeroed my new DD front fixed sight with my Matech rear at 50 yards today. I set the Matech for 200 and began shooting. After getting the rifle zeroed, I noticed that the front sight is adjusted much lower than I am used to seeing on FSB's. I don't think of it as much of a concern since my rifle is zeroed now, but is there such thing as having it set too low?

I have 7 clicks from having the post flush with the housing.

Try zeroing with the same sight set up at 25 yards. If you are POS/POI at 50 yards with your sights set at 200, you're going to be high at 25 and elsewhere. Check the ballistics of the round you are using and go from there. If you can only zero at 50 yards, going 2" high for Point of impact with point of aim being center mass will put you in a better ball park for useable ranges with the carbine.
