Mossie Tactics has recently released their new (UQDL) sling mount. I received some of the first prototype sets that were made. Though I have not been able to test them, I do know that there was prior testing done that shows they are very strong.

What makes these cool is that they are truly universal. They can be used with AR's, AK's, shotguns, FAL's, HK's, etc... The UQDL consists of a coated wire loop that has an anti-rotational QD socket. If you want to attach it to the rear of the receiver near the endplate all you need to do is remove the stock, slide it over the tube and replace the stock. You can thread it through the FSB and you can thread it through a stock (like the B5 Bravo or SOPMOD). In this sense it is truly ambidextrous as the sling loop will move the opposite side

I am attaching two pics to get a look at them. In addition to the UQDL there is a sling coming and you can purchase the UQDL with and without the QD swivels and you have the option of purchasing the UQDL with swivels and sling. I think this will be a very economical and versatile sling for those that need one. I am not sure what MSRP will be, but I think it will be competitive.

**I can't figure out how to upload pics so I will do it when I figure it out. Sorry.**

Gunz... nice to see you over here... even if your picture-fu sucks

Thanks. The only thing I can find to upload pics is asking for a URL address so I can't find the way to upload from my computer directly like M4C.

Gunz,

I went ahead and stole your pictures from m4c and added them to your original post. Hope you don't mind. Thanks brother.

I spoke to him last night and they should be on the market in about a week. Not sure about price as there are going to be various options. With QD swivels or without. Also his new basic 2 point sling package.

Eric,

Roger. I don't (or won't use) hosting sites even if they are free. Thanks for the info though so I know.

I saw that Stickman got some on m4carbine.net. I'm looking forward to his pictures soon... hopefully.

Looks like another great product from Mossie Tactics for guys who can't or won't modify their existing setups. Pictures I found from ar15news.com:

We put some on a Patrol Zero Carbine from SIONICS at the SAR Show in Phoenix and alot of people who actually took the time to look at them and realize the benefit liked them. This was a combination of police officers and civilians. Once they saw how many ways they can be configured it clicked.

Gunz,

I think where you guys will shine with this product is department sales. Zero modification and appears to be cop proof installation wise. Over the years I think we've all seen some boogered up setups as far as slings go, so a department armorer could easily say... this is what we're issuing everyone.

Our department has a lot of leeway as far as guns accessories go, but I know a few guys that would probably benefit from something as simple as this. How has the T&E feedback been so far?

It looks like a variation of the Blue Force Gear UWL (http://www.blueforcegear.com/universal-wire-loop-uwl-3-25.html).

I agree 100%. Not only are they adaptable to virtually any long gun, but they are able to be used in almost any way a person imagines. I showed them to some guys from the U.S Marshall service and one of them placed an order right away. I also showed them to someone from AZDPS and I think there will be some interest there. I think right now they are too new for any real feedback to occur.

Yes, we have heard that they reminiscent of the BFG UWL- except these are QD which means you can simply switch slings from weapon to weapon with the push of a button. Let me also add that depts can get some for T&E by contacting Mossie Tactics.

Had to steal one of Stickman's stash, but these are definitely a quality made piece

Can you open the loop, say to put it over some large handguards/fsb, or is the loop permanantly crimped?

Iraqgunz

Not sure what you mean by large handguards/FSB, but if you look at page 1, Buck was able to get it on a barrel and forward near the slip ring. I will ask how it was done.

I think he's asking if the loop can be made bigger. The answer is no Dave, the loop is fixed.

Ah yes sorry I missed that photo. That is exactly what I was wondering about - wasn't sure you could get it over a FSB without opening it up. Good to know if you have a 14.5" pinned/welded muzzle device!
