View Full Version : Assembled my first stripped lower today...

... and the assembly process really wasn't that bad. A buddy came over with one of his stripped lowers, a LPK, and a Rock River NM trigger so after I did mine, he put his together too (didn't want to get parts mixed up between kits). I had mine together in ~ 1 hour and now that I did one, I could probably do another in half that time. We followed the instructions off of TOS and since I had my laptop in the kitchen where we were working, having a step-by-step (with pictures) guide was invaluable. It was worth every penny to have a set of roll pin punches as well as a little $5.99 front takedown pin detent tool to avoid launching that detent across the room (we did it once but thankfully found the detent) but other than that the assembly was rather straightforward.

Here's a pic of my completed lower with Mr. Teddy (my dog) inspecting to make sure that it's done right. He sniffed the lower, licked it, and then laid down and went to sleep so I'm guessing he approves...
