I would be open to trying other selectors but there is just one single thing that I won't live without. That is if the selector jabs me in the hand it's out. The BAD scalloped lever (or something similar) is my preference. I even tried the plain old BAD short lever and ended up sending it back.

Ah. Thanks for that. I've heard you say that before on other threads somewhere (about the screws backing out). I had them back out on me once a long time ago but I put some loctite on mine and it's never been a problem since. Then again I can generally just walk back to the house and screw the thing back on if it comes down to it. My needs are more simple. I do keep some basic tools in my bag though when I go out somewhere else shooting and that little allen key is one of the things I take.

I'm a huge fan of the BAD-CASS, and prefer the standard lever on my strong side and the hybrid on the support side. I've got several BAD-ASS selector sets sitting around, unused because i like the design of the BAD-CASS that much better. As for the AXTS Talon, the price premium over the BAD-CASS is keeping me from trying one. AXTS is going to have to send me one to T&E to convince me to switch.

The CASS is the one with the barrel that looks like it's Ti nitrided, correct? I do like that model better. I'd be willing to try the AXTS, it just never hits my radar. Blue loctite and permatex are my friends.

The BAD-CASS (http://www.battlearmsdevelopment.com/bad-cass-sa-combat-ambi-safety-selector-ar15-ar10r) have dovetailed centers/levers, so there's much less strain put on the screw thus significantly reducing the chance that the screw holding the lever on will back-out (which i've never personally experienced). The last few i've ordered did have a TiN coating on the centers/barrels, as opposed to the standard phosphate. And i prep by de-greaseing everything and use blue Loctite when assembling. Never had an issue.

Arisaka In-Line Scout mount on a Geissele Mk 4 rail. Dead-nuts flush with the end of the rail and plenty of clearance without any fitting necessary. It's like this mount was made for this rail, despite the pic sections on the muzzle end. Considering who I got the rail from, its not a surprise it fits so well. [:)]

The Fortis rail has a waxy feel to the semi-gloss finish and it seems narrow compared to most others. So I installed these G10 material panels. Perfect! Not too fat and feels just like VZ 1911 grips. I did have to relocate the finger stop a bit forward, but I can live with that.

It's an Elcan 3x. I love the reticle. Downsides are the bulk and awkward to adjust illumination knob. I got it on a swap equal to far less than MSRP.

The rifle, grip or stock? Plenty of reviews on the rifle out there. Grip is a bit heavy since it's Billet but feels decent in the hand. Not the most comfortable grip but a good balance for aesthetics and use. As for the stock I've never used one but Armaspec makes good stuff.

What part did you win again? I didn't realize that was the one thing that got you into ARs.

I won a CMT slick side upper. I have always been into shooting but I never was able to buy an AR (although I've shot a few before then). A big reason for the delay was simple logistics. About the time I could have probably afforded it I was living and working overseas. And then just a number of things brought me back to Texas...so after a while I went on a shopping spree. Started with a number of pistols, then I got an AK... then I started following Stickman online and that got me to finally build an AR. Then suppressors, then SBR...

The economy has definitely not been my friend though.

After looking, that first pic wasn't a pic from my cellphone. Its one I actually took with my camera. I have 2 similar pics one from cell and one from my camera.
