V Seven nut and clamps
Griffin MK2 sights
CMR panels (works and locks up perfectly with #60 o-rings behind the panel)

Shed almost a quarter pound just from the front, which should balance it out perfectly.

Buy the barrel and have it cerakoted

I would mate the gas block to the barrel and use some sanding cloth to work down and spots that hang on the barrel. If it’s a snug fit, it’ll be tighter with Cerakote. MCA’s battlekitty Rifle that was cerakoted by BDL had the Rainier UM barrel done in a FDE/Khaki. I greased the hell out of the barrel and block but it was really snug. I put a small run in the Cerakote but it was covered up by the gas block and rail. If I could’ve matched the two ahead of time it would’ve been fine

Nice barrel. I just filled out a Form 1 for my Forged Lantac. I'm going to go with the 10.5" lantac barrel and their 9" handguard.

The spada-m handguard is super. Feels good and has grooving for some extra grip.

I just don’t need another SBR at the moment, not enough to get a stamp. If not for the stamp, most of my rifles would be SBRs.

I’m exited most about the precision and projected life of this barrel. I’ll get more full body pics when I get the RPS installed. I broke down and just assembled with a nut/plate I had in hand.

I wouldn't mind trying one. But the fact is, they are expensive as hell. O.K., I could afford one, but would be really bumbed for spending that much on a stock and then finding that I don't like it. Then it's money down the drain, and another one of those things that end up in "some" box in the loft over my garage, collecting dust.

You will likely be more satisfied with the SOPMOD.

The PDW is a specialized stock for sure. If you want to keep a 7.5" SBR as short as possible, this will do the trick. It's not all that uncomfortable, but definitely not as comfortable as a full size stock.

I wasn't planning on getting another, but Jeff at CMT sent me one for my son (even though he's only 8 months old) He wanted me to build him his own PDW for the future.

I'll probably be putting into a gun that I use often, probably a training gun. I like the break though its pretty light, I prefer a 4.5lb trigger for AR's. Guess I'll see how it works out.

Looks like a start. You just need to do it about 30 more times and it will be good. Hell, it's fine now. People fixate on making it look a certain way because "that's how Colt does it", then they hang the "would you trust your life to shitty staking?" argument on the end. Knight's doesn't stake certain plates that I've seen. Oh, btw, these are the same guys who go to that trouble and then don't safety wire nuts.

Truthfully, that's what I should have done. In my exuberance, I failed to note that the E3 bolt is peculiar to the KAC barrel extension. So, this will possibly become a spare for a yet to be purchased upper, or sold, or traded. I could send it back, and that's an option, but where then is the impetus to get this one done? Live and learn (and read, and ask people that know). [:)]

Of course, if any of you heavy duty insiders could help me source what I need for less than my entire liver, I would be forever in your debt. The barrel, MB, stock and buffer are literally the only non-KAC parts left on this heap-O-cash.

Man. Aero finally got me. I always respected their quality, but hated the A logo. The large frame set with flag logo at a fell-off-the-truck price made my day. This will be for Creedmoor as I love my MI .308 too much to swap out the barrel as originally planned.

Hell, since I've bore the burden of family emergencies, and unexpected surgery, I've got a new build, a pistol build, and a newly acquired fairly rare 1911 I can't say much on unfired guns. My 6.8's been done for a while, with the exception of a couple of accessories and hasn't seen a range day yet.

I know you're just joking, G-Dev, but I'm about in that same boat, seriously...:(

Just curious, do you believe the 6.8 SPC, with all other factors give, like doing my part, is a humane round on coyotes out to 300 yards? I used to think nothing about shooting out past ranges than that, but age and eyesight take their toll, believe me. Most of the coyotes I call (my electronic call) in are usually between 30 and 75 yards at most, but I've caught them taking a peek of ranges out to your zero of 300 yards. I know we're talking 2 different rounds, but it's my understanding that the 6.8 is close to the .224V in external ballistics.

Yep, I rarely go on weekends. Weekdays are the best. Less crowded and less people who probably shouldn't own firearms.

I'm spoiled to have 160,350, and 450 acre chunks of ground to shoot on. No ranges for me except one, very private long distance, and the qualifying range at work.
