Does anyone have a lead on an IN STOCK carbine gas length match grade barrel? It can be 13.7, 14.5 or 16" - that doesn't matter because it will be cut down and profiled anyway. I can't seem to find any NON M4 profile barrels in stock anywhere. Oh, and it also shouldn't be $400. [crazy]

What are you going to cut it down to?

Just buy from Black Hole directly.
No need to support the clowns at Surplus.

I'd rather do naughty things to myself with a tater mitt than buy from SAA.

Can you elaborate? I've bought a couple thousand rounds of S&B 9mm from them (several times) pre-panic and never had an issue. It usually was the best price (including Walmart) for decent bulk brass-cased ammo.

Call Dan Lilja, when I was in the market for a 16" barrel he had them in stock.
They aren't cheap.
Actually, scratch that - I just noticed you said "not $400" LOL

I was going to mention Lilja (www.riflebarrels.com) as well, but yes they are certainly pricey.
I couldn't find too many options for a carbine-gas stainless barrel for my Stickman 50K giveaway rifle. I was willing to spare no expense with this particular gun so I went with a fluted 17" Recce-style barrel (http://www.riflebarrels.com/products/ar.htm), the same one they supplied to the Naval Surface Warfare Center. It won't make a damn bit of difference in terms of accuracy in my hands, but it sure looks cool.
