Emerson is shipping their EDC-2 Multitool. The tool is built by Multitasker (http://www.multitaskertools.com/), and comes with the features you'd expect out of a Multitasker tool, but of course features an Emerson blade. I own the first EDC model and from the specs, this appears to be a nice upgrade. This version is slimmer, partially due to the fact they got rid of the removable wrench, lighter, and less expensive. However, from the specs below, none of the useful tools appear to have been removed. MSRP starts at $134.95. Checkout the EDC-2 at Emerson Knives. Several years ago I switched my EDC knife to a Leatherman skeletool. I am now so hooked on it as the best EDC on the market that I buy them in multiples when I lose one to make sure that I never have to go more than a day without one, and I have given several to friends.
If I feel like I need a people-stabbed that's a dedicated tool.

When I heard Multitasker and Emerson were teaming up awhile back, I had hoped it would yield something like the skeletool. I would bet I use the pliers & wire cutter about 75% as often as the blade, and 200% more often than either of the screwdrivers.

And I've never stabbed anyone with it.
