MI Keymod Panel Covers
We are proud to release our very own panel covers for Keymod handguards.
These covers use mechanical fasteners unlike others on the market which makes them extremely secure.
These covers when placed on the MI-SSK handguard which has an outside diameter of 1.5” only increases it to 1.760” with the panels installed.
The kits will come in three packs with one 3 slot cover, one 4 slot cover, and one 5 slot clover.
There will be two variations, one with the 3 slot flat and another with the 3 slot having a built in hand stop.
The three panels with all flats weigh in at .8oz and will retail for $19.95 with an introductory price of $18.00
The three panel kit with the hand stop panel weighs in at .9oz and will retail for $19.95 with and introductory price of $18.00

I just received my 15" MI SSK today. I was looking at some like Noveske makes. I have those on my BCM KMR upper. $70 bucks seems a bit steep for a couple of ounces of injected molded plastic that MI sells.

A 5 slot with a handstop would be the heat. 5 slot would be big enough for the entire hand to rest on and still use the handstop without having part of the hand on and part of the hand off of the cover. These are the best looking I have seen IMO.

California rules.

California rules.

It's actually a way around California rules. You can either have a bullet button (or a fixed-magazine) and a gun that looks like it should...but can only use a <=10 round magazine, or you can run a gun without a bullet button/fixed magazine but the web of your hand has to be above a defined reference point on the trigger (basically making it so you hold the gun like it's in a sporter configuration) and run magazines with > 10 rounds.

Yes, it's silly, but it's better than having to deal with the stupid bullet button and only 10 rounds.

Thats why all but one of my rifles has the fin on them. I have some standard capacity mags I couldn't use otherwise. The one that has a bullet button has a KX3 on it and isnt considered a muzzle brake so a "featureless" gun would be a no go.

I ran two Exile Machine grips and pinned the stocks. For the issue at hand, they worked well for me. I liked that I could get my thumb around the grip and be able to still be able to do manual of arms in mostly the same way you can with a regular pistol grip. I think having larger hands helps with that though. All that said, I don't miss having to play all of those stupid games anymore.
