Anyone running any of their gear yet? I know Joel that used to be with Noveske is with them. Some of their gear looks interesting, a lot of titanium stuff. The new 57 degree selector and titanium gas block looks nice.

V7 has some interesting stuff, but nothing that makes me want to think that's a must buy.

Here's a breakdown on what you could expect for weight savings and about what it would cost. V7 parts vs. standard or others comparable.

Weight Differences:

Standard Pin Set - .5 oz.
Difference: .33 oz

V7 QD End-Plate- .18 oz.
Noveske QD End-Plate - .5 oz.
Difference: .32 oz

V7 Castle Nut - .225 oz.
VLTOR Castle Nut - .65 oz.
Difference: .425 oz

V7 Mag Catch - .17 oz
Standard Mag Catch - .35 oz.
Difference: .18 oz

V7 Port Door Assembly - .33 oz.
Standard Port Door Assembly - .725 oz
Difference: .395 oz

V7 Forward Assist - .32 oz.
Standard Forward Assist - .72 oz.
Difference: .5 oz

V7 Titanium .750 Gas Block - .8 oz.
Vltor .750 Gas Block – 1.4 oz.
Difference: .6 oz

Total V7 Weight Loss: 2.75 oz.

Total cost of the V7 parts listed above comes to $222.00 before shipping.

Some of the parts are titanium, some are 7075 T6 Aluminum, and a couple are "Super Aluminum"... whatever that is supposed to be. Either way, there you go. Looks like you'd save a smidge over 1 oz per $100

Absolutely awesome Aragorn, how much time did that take? But I will admit I like their 57 dergree selector.

I kinda got lucky and found a massive list with the weights of pretty much every single part of an AR, so once I found it, it was mostly just sifting for the specific parts and looking up the prices on V7's site.

The difference for the 57 degree selector you like:

V7 Right Hand 57* Selector- .3 oz.
Standard Selector -.6 oz

V7 Ambi (long, short) 57* Selector - .35 oz.
BAD CASS SA/ST (long & short) safety selector - .85oz.

V7 selector is cheaper than the BAD CASS SA/ST and doesn't require me to file the bump off. I do however love feel of my BAD selectors.
