We got to hang out with Cason Tactical the other day. They have two AR rifles coming onto the market, a 556 & 308 offering , with future calibers including the 7.62 X39 and 300 Blackout. Cason Tactical is located in Eldorado Hills, California, not far from our California HQ.

The AR lower is a billet type with the mag well cut out as to manipulate the magazine quicker. Please note in front and above the trigger guard a small cut out where your trigger finger can rest. If you look closely at the selector switch, you'll see distinct "verbage".

The 556 and 308 utilizes the new hand guard from Midwest Industries. Caso Tactical is using both the F/R sights from Magpul & MI at this time. AR furniture will be from Magpul Industries with the option of using a stock from Ace Ltd. The trigger selection is stock at this time but there will be options in the future. Cason Tactical said they liked the use of a non collapsible butt stock, this saves some weight and there are moving parts you don't have to worry about. The color selection used is variations of light and dark gray.

Another interesting piece from Cason tactical is the compensator used on the 556 & 308. The muzzle compensator is made out of titanium. The barrel selections at this time are from Rainier Arms and Lothar Walther. The goal from Cason Tactical is bring a light weight AR to market, whether for competition, recreational, or home defense use. I look forward in seeing Cason tactical AR rifles in the market.
