Not for me either..
BCM says it will be one of lightest and strongest stock on the market. They also say that there's more going on with the stock than it appears, probably some special feature. The pic of the black one looks better than the FDE.

Looks comfortable, I've been debating getting a lwrc compact stock but I think this just made it into the consideration pile.

Wow...looks like they took all the things that aren't worth the money and put them in one picture. Not sounding negative just personal observation.
incog = junk
knife with hole for your finger to be broken inside of = junk
weird looking plastic stock = why do we need more stocks in the industry? B5 or go home.
iphone? = if you wanted to give your info to the NSA that easily just email them a daily journal, it'll be more difficult for them than your iphone.
tourniquet = while not total junk, if you aren't buying a SOF TACTICAL TOURNIQUET you probably don't understand why you have a tourniquet.
VCOG = sucks
DBAL looking thing = day time visible laser? Or for NODS?
muzzle device = NOT for NODS or suppressors.

Stocks aren't supposed to be special, they are just supposed to work. Basically a problem that no one ever needed fixing.
You know the proverbial mall ninja that was an ongoing joke for years?...enough stuff there for a LRP from here to the Ukraine... ha..ha..ha.. I'm with Voodoo_Man on this one. Sorry for lousy typing, still have tears in my eyes from laughing...

I prefer the B5, and if someone were to ask me what stock to buy I'd tell them a B5.

I've had problems with B5 stocks, one I got used, and one I bought. They fit so loose, and wobbled so much that you couldn't sneak up on a brick. I take the CTR, remove the unnecessary butt pad, and it's nice and snug, and almost as light. Had to fight with BCM on returning it, so much that I got pissed and threw it away, brand new. After telling a friend, he asked that I dig it out and give it to him. Good riddance.

I don't want this to turn into a B5 smash fest, but I've also had bad luck with their stocks. I bought a bravo model from BCM and it was loose enough to fit a commercial receiver extension. Just to be clear, B5 doesn't even make it for commercial sized extensions, yet it was that big.
My second B5 stock was the normal sopmod, and it was too tight to fit on my two BCM carbine receiver extensions. It barely fit my A5 extension, almost requiring two people to get it off.
Anyway, the new BCM stock is priced well, and I wouldn't mind giving one a try when they become available. Unless, of course, it's being manufactured for BCM by B5.
FortTom my B5 sopmods are quite the opposite, they were so tight and hard to get on the extension. The ones I have make Magpul's friction lock look loose. Also who makes that clear mag in the review? If you haven't noticed I have a clear fettish.

The LWRC compact stock is very nice, the quality of the stock is possibly the nicest I've seen. No better stock for the price. Only critique I have of this stock was that it had some play on my extension.

I've been using a MOE for quite awhile now so I'm use to some play. I don't mind it THAT much, so long as it's not excessive.

I think my next stock will be the MFT minimalist. I like the MOE and the CTR I have but want something different. From the B5's that I have messed with I plan to steer clear of them for my own personal rifles.

I've had 2 different B5's and got rid of them both, the one with the battery tube, my hair would get caught in the stupid jig saw seam, the other one was just ugly and had some rattle. So I currently have a Magpul CTR, MOE and a LWRC one that a buddy gave me. Was thinking of getting one of the new MFT Minimalist stock but it was out of stock when I went to Rainier Arms to get one, but now I think I'm gonna get the new Magpul Moe slim stock when it hits the stores.

Talk about luck! I was literally about to order a new bcm lower from g&r with the option of a B5 stock. I think I'll steer clear of it after reading all the comments about it.

Similar price tag to the new MOE SL stock. Which i just purchased one last week from Midway. Can't wait to see any comparison reviews between the two. Or i'll just get new BCM stock too once they are released.

I like the clean lines of that stock. Not enough to overcome my love of Ace entry length stocks but it certainly looks better than their old offerings.

I guess I just don't see what this does that a B5 doesn't already do. I know not everyone loves the SOPMOD stock, but the idea is very similar. Personally, except for precision work, I really dig the B5 SOPMOD, especially at $65 (or less when they go on sale).

I personally liked the LWRC a little better than my B5, but both are great stocks though. I haven't had a chance to lay hands on either of the new stocks and neither may be better than the previous 2. More quality options isn't a bad thing, even if all 4 seem to be very similar and may not be better than the first of their style.

All reviews I have seen on B5s are positive.
Both the B5 Enhanced and Bravo Sopmods have been really good stocks from my experience.

Choice is certainly good for the consumer, I agree. I guess I was just thinking about how the market currently is and how much this would sell with all the other options on the market. Then again, BCM seems to be really pushing their brand right now (in a good way), and if all the R&D has been done, someone has to pay for it, so I guess that's a good reason to get it out to market.

I withdraw my earlier statement after watching MrGunsGear's video. Looks very much like a competitor to the B5 Bravo. Personally, I still would want a regular SOPMOD, but that was a good review showing all the details and I can see the appeal.

"It's the new industry standard"! - because Vickers says so. I'd like to see a vote of hands on that claim..

When I first saw it I thought it was one of the ugliest stocks I'd ever seen. But then, that's what people thought of Glocks when they hit the market. I think the looks are growing on me already, I just need to get one in my hands to see how it handles.

^ agreed BC. After seeing the Mr G&G positive review its growing on me. I like the lockup tab while still saving weight. However this B5 is the best I've used so far so lots of good stocks out

The latch system will give you Popeye arms. Not that it's hard to adjust the stock position, but the thing just begs you to squeeze it.... and it's got a unique feel. If you get one, you'll know what I'm talking about.
